Drive My BOOKS: Rolling Reading Drivers

education and learning, children and youth, Impact Incubator

Organising outreach activities using a book truck to promote reading to children from grassroots families

This venture expands on its prototype project to promote and encourage reading culture among children from grassroots families, with a view to contributing to poverty alleviation.

To scale up the prototye project, a mobile truck with a Personalized Vehicle Registration Mark “B00KS” will deliver books to a wider grassroots community. “Young-old” drivers will be recruited and trained with knowledge in books and story-telling skills to diversify outreach efforts.

The venture will benefit 1 550 children from grassroots families and five young-old drivers.

The venture has received funding support from the SIE Fund for two other prototype projects: Rolling Books and Rolling Dialogue – Cloud Storytelling.
