Rehabilitation training with a personalised, affordable, multi-functional 3D-printed soft robotic hand will be developed to facilitate hand function recovery for stroke rehabilitation patients so that they can reintegrate into society.

This project aims to develop a stroke rehabilitation training with an affordable 3D-printed soft robotic hand based on the team’s recent patented technology of SoftElastic Composite Actuator to facilitate better hand recovery on more stroke survivors and elderly in society through the training sessions with the soft robotic hand, and to 3D-print soft robotic hands with the team’s advanced design and control algorithm to provide more hand function tasks training in a more affordable way.
