Developing VR applications for rehabilitation exercises and electric wheelchair practice

The venture aims to develop immersive virtual reality (VR) applications for rehabilitation exercises and electric wheelchair practice for the elderly and people with disabilities. These applications will help them cultivate exercise habits and encourage them to have more outdoor activities. The team will hire elderly people and people with disabilities as trainers/ promotional officers to assist in organising related experiential activities. Through STEAM learning programmes in primary and secondary schools, the team will leverage the immersive VR experiences developed in this project to build empathy in the younger generation and engage them to interact with the elderly and people with disabilities to break down barriers and promote social inclusion.
