Chairperson of the SIE Fund Task Force Dr Jane Lee shared in the interview that there are already more than 400 organisation members on the Gerontechnology Platform which links up different stakeholders on the supply and demand sides with the aim of fostering knowledge sharing, partnership and collaboration. It also provides consultancy and assessment services, aiming to explore more gerontechnology products. She also mentioned that the elderly’s lack of knowledge in technology is a hindrance to the popularity of gerontechnology. To address the issue, the SIE Fund has provided funding for four innovative projects that promote intergenerational digital inclusion, benefitting more than 3700 elderly people and about 450 youngsters so far.
