Active Ageing Board Game Co-creation Programme

community participation, children and youth, Grant for Good

Engaging youngsters and elders in co-creating an active ageing board game to promote intergeneration integration

Aiming to address the lack of intergenerational communication and interaction opportunities, as well as the low awareness about the elderly and the active ageing society among the youth, the venture will recruit 12 youngsters and elders to participate in board game design. Together they will co-create an active ageing board game through direct communication and cooperation which help enhance mutual understanding and facilitate intergeneration integration.

The project will also train 20 youngsters and elders to be game facilitators who will assist in the organisation of active ageing board game workshops in secondary schools and elderly centres. The youth and elderly players can learn more about the needs and development of the active ageing society through the board game. They can also take part in the discussion of creating new services to meet the needs of an active ageing society, thereby further fostering intergenerational integration.
