Recruiting retired renovation workers to provide affordable home renovation service to low-income families

Through community networks like District Councils and non-governmental organisations, the venture connects retired renovation workers with low-income families that require home renovation service. Renovation workers can work flexitime to fit their own schedule and health condition so that they can enjoy a fruitful retirement life with an income earned.

Low-income families that have passed the means test will only be charged the production cost of the renovation works. Besides, the project team will collaborate with social welfare agencies and community organisations to provide voluntary simple home renovation service to families in need. Workshops on basic repair works such as changing water taps and pest control, etc. will also be held for the general public.
