The "Smart Silver" Digital Inclusion Programme for Elders continued in full swing during August, with various implementing organisations and collaborative partners working together to promote digital inclusion for the elders, aiming to enhance their quality of life and sense of happiness.
The programme includes providing regular and fixed-point technical support at community-based help desks across 18 districts of Hong Kong, as well as organising digital training courses and activities on various topics. The programme also actively expands its collaborative network by partnering with more professional organisations include the Hong Kong Housing Society, the Hong Kong CPPCC Youth Association, the Police Community Relations Office and Pok Oi Hospital.
To further expand the programme's influence, programme representatives regularly attend District Council meetings of different regions to actively promote and advocate for the "Smart Silver" programme initiative. By leveraging the power of the District Councils, more elders can learn about the conveniences brought by technology, thereby integrating into a smart lifestyle.
