Developing an affordable nutritional powder to address malnutrition issues and prevent nutrient loss in low-income elders
The venture aims to address the malnutrition issues of elders by developing an affordable nutritional powder made with tiger nuts, soybean powder and trace elements, which are rich in protein, calcium, and vitamin D, to enhance their overall health. Free nutritional powder will be distributed to elders joining the healthy eating workshops and the tasting event. By providing career guidance training and engaging the selected and trained low-income elders seeking for job opportunities in the stages of packaging, management and marketing, the project will also enhance their employability. Flexible job opportunities will also be provided for them to assist in organising a nutritional powder tasting event, thus improving the economic conditions of elders by increasing their income and demonstrating their self-worth.
