Mr CHENG Chung-fo

Personal Profile

Mr Tony Cheng Chung-fo, founder and managing director of print100.com, has been involved in youth-related service for over a decade. He currently serves as a member of the Commission on Youth, a member of Youth Square Management Advisory Committee, a member of public relations committee of Scout Association of Hong Kong, vice-chairman of executive committee of Y. Elites Association, and was the vice-chairman of Hong Kong United Youth Association.

Mr Cheng started his business in his twenties. Relying solely on his own endeavor and with little support, the process was exhausting. Today, when social capital comes in abundance and yet the young people get frustrated easily and lack persistence, Mr Cheng is eager to share his experience. Funding is important for young entrepreneurs, but advice and guidance is more crucial to make up for their lack of experience. Having overcome challenges himself, Mr Cheng has a piece of advice for young entrepreneurs: have a clear and concrete target and keep innovating to bring it to realization.  The market situation is ever changing so new approaches and new ideas will be needed.

Being an IT guy, Mr Cheng spends his leisure keeping abreast of the latest development in technology, demonstrating how one’s hobby combines nicely with career.

Expectation towards Social Innovation and the SIE Fund

"I would like to see the SIE Fund providing a platform which brings in different professionals to coach and guide young entrepreneurs. This will save them from the twists and turns of running new businesses. I hope my experience in business and youth-related work can contribute."
