SENsitive Clowns

prototype, education and learning, children and youth, Impact Incubator

Training in clown performance for primary school students with special educational needs or from low-income families

The venture, through launching a clown performance and training programme at primary schools, aims to provide an avenue for students with special educational needs (SEN) or from low-income families to express themselves.

The venture will recruit target students from eight mainstream primary schools. Each participating school will be provided with a programme consisting of a performance by professional clowns and two workshops totalling eight sessions. The workshops will cover training in vocal, drama, juggling and magic tricks. Upon completion of training, the participating students will perform in a clown graduation performance at their schools.
