Providing the disadvantaged with training and job opportunities in using leftover bread for beer brewing

A considerable amount of leftover bread is dumped every day. The venture is a food upcycling initiative that uses surplus bread to replace malted barley to brew beer. It also offers job training and employment opportunities to people of diverse race, low-income families and persons with disabilities, in particular those who suffer during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The venture will recruit the disadvantaged to assist in operation, logistics and coordination with bakeries and breweries. Training sessions will be conducted to help them understand the mission and operational flow of the project. Team building exercises as well as communication and public speaking workshops will also be held for them to learn the essential skills required in the workplace.
