An online platform offering learning support for students from low-income families

Students from grassroots families may face various difficulties in the journey of learning; they may also have limited access to information about future studies and career. The venture aims to bring equal educational opportunities to grassroots students receiving financial support from the School Textbook Assistance Scheme or students from low-income families.

With the goal of poverty alleviation, Equcation is an online platform offering high quality tutorial services at an affordable price. It provides subsidised online tutorial classes to students from low-income families. Through an online forum and reward scheme, the venture aims to enhance students’ motivation in self-initiated learning and encourage them to enrich their life experiences. Its information hub collects and provides information on the programmes of different universities and colleges such as entry requirements, level of difficulties, reviews from undergraduate or graduate students and the respective career paths. To maximise the use of the existing resources, the platform also gathers information on benefits provided to grassroots students by different organisations.
