Providing study tours for free or at a discounted price for students from low-income families

Students from low-income families may have fewer opportunities than others in participating in extra-curricular activities or to travel, causing these children to lag behind in acquiring soft skills and be increasingly alienated from the community. The venture aims at bridging the opportunity gap by providing for free or at a discounted price customised local and Mainland tours for students from low-income families.

The tours will be designed with reference to the ITTA model which comprises gathering and analysing information, travelling, completing tasks and applying knowledge. Through participating in the tours, students are expected to build up their confidence, broaden their knowledge of sustainable development, have their creativity nurtured and social skills enhanced. Students’ family members will be invited to join the tours so as to strengthen their family relationships.

In addition, participating students will be engaged as community ambassadors to design educational materials and organise workshops to share their learning with other children and youth.
