Speaking Through the Sound of Nature

education and learning, low-income families, Impact Innovation Lab

Fostering community connection by forming a natural percussion band composed of children and youths from low-income families, harnessing the healing power of music and natural materials

The venture aims to address the shortage of resources faced by children and youths from low-income families through diverse activities including nature exploration, bamboo instrument-making workshops, music workshops on improvisation and music therapy, and percussion band training. By forming a natural percussion band composed of low-income family members, the venture encourages the public to attend its performance, hence fostering social cohesion. Harnessing the soothing sounds of natural instruments and the healing power of music, the venture is dedicated to creating a platform for interaction and communication, fostering social inclusion by increasing the willingness of members of the public to understand the needs and recognising the abilities of people from low-income families.
