Providing a wearable device that describes the physical environment for visually impaired persons
The venture aims at producing a compact wearable device which collects visual information about the physical environment and provides simultaneous interpretation for visually impaired persons (VIPs).
It is planned that 100 units of the prototype device will be produced and provided to VIPs through NGOs or organisations serving VIPs. The device will be used in accompany with version 2.0 of a mobile app to be developed by the grantee.
