A plug-in device that enhances existing walking sticks with functions of GPS tracking and fall detection alarm
The venture aims to design and produce an innovative device with a GPS tracking feature and a fall detection alarm for elderly persons to use with their existing walking sticks. It can be plugged/screwed into the tip of a walking stick. It allows the caregivers of the elderly with dementia to keep track of the elderly’s location, thanks to the GPS feature, and to be alerted by its instant in-app notification feature once a fall motion of the elderly users is detected.
While the elderly people suffering from dementia may easily forget to charge up a device, Walkpner is designed with a charging-free feature. Its battery will be charged up every time it touches the ground.
