Reducing the risk of Mentally Incapacitated Persons (MIPs) getting lost and help locating missing MIPs in Hong Kong

The venture aims to decrease the risk of Mentally Incapacitated Persons (MIPs) getting lost and help locating missing MIPs in Hong Kong. The goals are to alleviate the pressure on caregivers, save lives and raise public awareness on safety of MIPs.

The proponent will launch an enhanced version of a smart tag for the MIPs, upgrading the smart tag, app, and system to a more advanced version, while increasing the number of signal receivers, known as "Angel Boxes", to expand search coverage. Training sessions will also be offered to NGO partners and caregivers to maximise the system's effectiveness.
