Promoting preventive physical exercise to the elders by adopting gerontechnology and innovation in sports training in order to build an elder-friendly society
The venture aims to promote preventive physical exercise to the elders as a preferable alternative of long-term care by adopting gerontechnology and innovation in sports training. Elders will be encouraged to practise sports so as to build an elder-friendly society.
The venture will organise SportsTech courses (including augmented reality deep squat anti-fall exercises, virtual reality fencing and interactive running) and “Geron-Tech Olympic” to engage the elders. Young people with special education needs (SEN) and young-old will be recruited as ambassadors to connect with singleton and doubleton elders.
