Providing regular at-home eye screenings for elders and low-income households in subdivided units
The venture aims to provide regular at-home eye screenings for elders and low-income households in subdivided units using independently developed equipment and mobile applications. The project anticipates three major social changes:
(1) Facilitate the early detection and management of eye diseases, such as glaucoma, to prevent irreversible blindness;
(2) Train volunteers and professionals from social welfare organisations to conduct rapid eye examinations for the beneficiaries; and
(3) Improve access to healthcare, fostering a more equitable society.
The venture will collaborate with five social welfare organisations that provide elderly services, offering training for each partner organisation to familiarise them with the devices.
