Developing an application platform to match neighbourhood caregivers with elderly caregivers, and providing suitable community care services for elders

The venture aims to develop a user-friendly pay-per-use application platform to alleviate elderly caregivers’ stress by recruiting and training low-income individuals aged 50 or above with caregiving capabilities as neighbourhood caregivers. Through this platform, neighbourhood caregivers will provide community care services including meal delivery, groceries, exercise and outings, not only alleviating elderly caregivers’ stress, but also meeting the social needs of the elders. In the long run, the project aspires to foster public-private partnerships to expand non-professional care services and build a sustainable and community-based mutual support network, to enhance the well-being of elders and foster social connection.
