Providing vocational training, skill development and confidence-building opportunities for rehabilitated individuals interested in arboriculture, so as to enhance their employability and promote social inclusion
The venture aims to provide vocational training, skill development and confidence-building opportunities for rehabilitated individuals interested in arboriculture, so as to reduce the hurdles they face in the job market including social stigma, discrimination, and limited opportunities. By enhancing the employability of rehabilitated individuals, social inclusion is promoted.
The venture will organise workshops to educate and inspire the rehabilitated individuals with foundational knowledge of the arboriculture industry, and to select the potential participants for the training programme. Intensive training will be provided to equip them with necessary skills and safety practices in arboriculture. Through a series of Arbor Fun Day, the trained rehabilitated individuals will act as assistants to interact with the public, providing them with opportunities to build confidence and improve communication skills. Job referral and career counselling will be offered to help the trained persons to secure job opportunities.
