    Developing an affordable Cantonese speech training app for elderly with aphasia to improve their communication skills

     

     

    The venture will develop a Cantonese aphasia training app that supports the identification of aphasia symptoms and provides training tailored to different levels of severity. It will offer aphasia screening for elders and their caregivers, along with consultation sessions and a six-month subscription to the aphasia training app for selected elders with aphasia.

    The venture will also conduct a series of workshops to train frontline workers and caregivers. An online resource hub will be established, featuring a collection of educational materials and a training kit to enhance their support for individuals with aphasia.

    • Develop a Cantonese aphasia training app
    • Provide aphasia screening for 200 elders and 100 caregivers, and offer 2 consultation sessions and a 6-month subscription to the aphasia training app for 30 elders with aphasia
    • Conduct 3 workshops to train 90 frontline workers and caregivers
    • Establish an online resource hub, producing at least 30 resources and developing a training kit
    • Produce 1 investigative report based on the data of the aphasia training app
