    Providing dragon boat training and trial activities for marginalised youths

     

     

    Through dragon boat training and trial activities, the venture aims to enhance the courage and resilience of marginalised youths and help them develop a more positive life attitude.

    It is expected that 60 marginalised youths will participate in the dragon boat trial activities. The venture will select 36 of them for dragon boat training, competition and internship cum practicum. Outstanding participants will undergo a formal assessment at the end of the project's funding period and qualified participants will become certified helmsmen.

    • Recruited 135 youths
    • Organised Dragon Boat Trial Day for 62 youths and Sai Kung Island Tour for 74 youths
    • Provided 4 sessions of dragon boat trial training to 135 youths
    • Engaged 67 youths to participate in local competitions
    • Provided basic and intermediate dragon boat training to 44 youths with 36 of them completed Helmsmen Level 1 examination
    • Provided an average of 20.24 hours of internship opportunities per person to 44 youths
    • Organised 6 promotional activities
