Producing a tool kit and launching a community education programme for positive character education
The venture plans to produce a tool kit for positive character education and launch a community/school-based education programme for low-income families and schools. Children are expected to enhance their self-esteem through understanding their positive traits that enable them to face challenges, whereas parents will be better equipped with parenting skills. The project will be implemented in Tuen Mun district as a trial.
The tool kit includes gamified teaching materials developed on the scientific basis of psychology and supports positive character education and counselling service. The community education programme comprises a series of training sessions and practical sessions conducted by trained counsellors to support parents in providing positive character education to their children.
