Organising workshops to enhance public understanding and empathy towards people with disabilities (PWDs) and provide job opportunities for PWDs

The venture aims to enhance public understanding and empathy towards people with disabilities (PWDs) through organising “experiential learning workshops”.

At the core of each workshop is an innovative inclusive role-play game experience. Workshops will be offered with a different mix of themes of life stories, duration, number of participants and fees, etc. The venture will recruit PWDs from low-income families and their caregivers through school/ NGOs network. They will receive training and be employed as game leaders. Young people will also be recruited and trained as Youth Ambassadors to assist in workshop operation. The workshops will be held either in partnering social enterprise restaurants, churches or through online means.

Through taking part in the workshops, participants can experience the difficulties faced by PWDs in daily life and wisdom of lives. They will also have a deeper understanding of PWDs through the sharing of PWDs and their caregivers – to nurture equality in the community.
