A gamified training platform for elderly with cognitive decline or impairment

The venture is to launch a gamified training platform with the theme of Chinese calligraphy as a new intervention measure for elderly with cognitive decline, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or dementia.

With reference to research studies on the impact of Chinese calligraphy therapy on elderly, the gamified platform will come in four levels, namely “assisted writing”, “following the copybooks”, “learning from the masters” and “switching charterer styles”. In addition, training modules of the game can be customised to cope with different cognitive levels of the elderly.

Based on cognitive data collected via the platform, caregivers and staff members of community centres can monitor and evaluate the progress of improvement of the elderly.
