Bridging Futures: Empowering Underprivileged Youth with Award-Winning AI to Support SEN Children and Caregivers
Training underprivileged youth to become CSNTs to provide training and services to SEN children
The venture aims to offer professional Chartered Special Needs Tutor (CSNTs) training to underprivileged youth, empowering them in learning relevant knowledge and skills for career development. The trained youth will provide training and services to children with special educational needs (SEN) from low-income families via the paid Professional Integrated Learning & Practicum. In addition, comprehensive mental health support will be provided to caregivers of SEN children through Pai.ACT®, an AI-driven Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) mobile platform developed by the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The venture will also hold seminars to promote the use of technology in the field of special education and mental health care for participating professionals.

Expected Impact
- 100 underprivileged youths will receive training and become CSNTs
- 4 000 hours of behavioural training will be offered to 400 SEN students from low-income families
- 400 tailored Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) will be created for SEN children
- 400 caregivers will receive mental health support services, and 160 caregivers will participate in a total of 960 hours of ACT programmes
