An online platform for transaction of used textbooks contributing both to poverty alleviation and waste reduction

The venture proposes to develop and launch an online (web and mobile app) platform for selling and buying second-hand textbooks. It will seek partnership with schools to prepare a school-based digital booklist. Based on the book list, students from the same school can negotiate a transaction to sell or buy used textbooks using the in-app chat room. There will be no service charge.
It is believed that senior students are more willing to help junior students of the same school. Hence a school-based platform will be more attractive and effective. It will also foster a caring culture in the school.
