UP Poverty Youth Engagement

start-up, job training and opportunities, children and youth, Impact Incubator

Training programmes with job opportunities to help young people from underprivileged groups develop a career in the creative industry

The venture aims to empower young people from underprivileged groups (e.g. low-income, non-ethnic Chinese and disabled) to work in the creative industry by providing a structured and systematic training under a mentorship and internship scheme.  The young people will be trained and guided by experienced mentors to work on creative art and multi-media projects.  Job opportunities will also be offered to enrich their work experience and profile. These programmes enable the young people to build up their confidence and help enhance their employability in the creative industry.

The venture has received funding support from the SIE Fund for another start-up project.
